My top 10 beauty products of all time

The other day someone asked to choose my favourites out of ALL the products I’ve ever used. Considering that I’ve spent all my money on beauty products ever since I was in college that’s a HUGE number. When I penned down this list 10 seemed like a lot of products. But now that I’ve finally got down to doing it, I feel that this list could go on forever. I have chosen these products because I’ve had the chance to use them for a long time. And I’ve gone out to repurchase them myself.

Dr Hauschka Rose Day Cream
I always have a tube of this in my cabinet. I've tried all sorts of face creams and moisturisers, but my skin always looks glowing and calm when I use this. It’s quite thick and rich but I find that this reduces my rosacea and smoothes out wrinkles too. I use it day and night as an anti-ageing cream.

Decleor Aromessence in Rose D’Orient
Oh my god. This oil/serum saved my skin when I suffered from particularly bad outbreak of hormonal acne. It comes in the tiniest of bottles and with a minuscule opening. You just turn that opening down on your forefinger three-four times and then just tap your fingers all over your face (especially on spots). This helps calm redness, shrink spots, hydrate the skin and makes it look relaxed and glowing. I would highly recommend it for everyone.

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask
Nothing makes you glow more than this phenomenal face mask. If I want to turn heads at an event I choose to apply this before getting ready. Just wash your face and then slap it on. Rinse with water after 20 min-half hour and see how your complexion just glows from within.

Peter Thomas Roth Max Complexion Correction Pads
I was introduced to these by my beauty obsessed friend Druv who knows SO much about skincare. These pads are amazing because they chemically exfoliate your skin with 10% glycolic acid and 2% salicylic acid. They keep your pores clear, skin shining and even help reduce breakouts.

Julisis Silver Wash Night
Literally the best face wash EVER. Its just so sad that it’s not very accessible to us in India. When I used this it helped calm and even out my skin’s texture without drying. This phenomenal line is created by Julius Eulberg who is known for his in developing pure organic products and fragrances.

Obagi Professional C Serum 20%
My go to vitamin C serum. I keep cheating on it with other options in the market, but I always, always come back to this one.

Rahua Voluminous Conditioner
I have been using this all-natural, organic conditioner for the past decade or so. It can be used as a rinse out or leave-in conditioner and as a styling product too. It may be a bit pricey but it lasts you a whole year.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Mascara
I love this mascara for daily use because not only does it make the lashes look fuller and longer, but the curl also holds up all day. It comes off very easily with just warm water, and the best part is that my lashes did not fall when I used this mascara.

Coco by Chanel (The Original Eau de Parfum)
Not Mademoiselle or Noir, but the original 1980’s Coco Chanel. For me its the ultimate accessory when I want to feel glamorous. This spicy Oriental has delicious, old-fashioned notes such as rose, jasmine, cloves, vanilla and sandalwood. Absolutely decadent but never cloying.

Clé de Peau Beauté Extra Rich Lipstick in 311
Whenever I want to wear red lipstick, I reach for this one. I know that M.A.C’s Ruby Woo is the crowd favourite and I love that too. But this bright statement red just makes my skin and lips pop. I first wanted to get it when I read that Amanda Seyfreid wore this red on the iconic Harper’s Bazaar cover (scroll below to see). And really it does look this good when you wear it. Ladies if you’re looking for a fiery, bright red, then look no further than this one.
